Prakash Raj's directorial debut Dhoni, which went on the floors in mid-September, completed its first schedule recently. It was shot for good number of days in Puducherry. Produced also by Prakash Raj, the film stars Akash (Puri Jagannath's son) in a prominent role. He plays Raj's son in the film.

The story is said to be about the cricketing dreams of a son. However, the father wants him to do well in studies. It is to be seen if the film captures the essence of a Tare Zameen Par. The versatile actor has a taste for socially-relevant films. Is something substantial in store for parents and children here?

Produced on Duet Movies, the film has music by Maestro Illayaraja. The bi-lingual (Tamil and Telugu) has cinematography by KV Guhan.

Radhika Apte of Raktha Charitra fame and Naaser are playing serious roles in the movie. On the other hand, Brahmanandam is playing a role with comedy shades.
