Did Smriti Irani meet Owaisi last week? Find out the truth about rumour

Last week, Union Minister Smriti Irani was in Hyderabad to campaign for the BJP ahead of the GHMC elections. Ever since, a pic has been widely shared on social media. In the pic, the BJP leader is seen engaged in a serious chat with MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi.

As per rumour-mongers, Irani and Owaisi met with each other during last week's visit. They have been fooling the public. Actually, MIM and BJP are secret allies, is the line that gossip-mongers have taken. Congress leader Revanth Reddy's indication to this effect has been taken at face value.

However, the pic belongs to 2016. Owaisi was present at a meet for the welfare of weavers. The meet was presided over by Irani. This old pic has resurfaced now to create the false impression that BJP and MIM have some secret alliance.
