Dil Raju astounded?

Dil Raju was never confused about his films in the past. He would predict the success of a movie well in advance and relish the hit status after the release. With Oh My Friend, he was never so sure before the release nor he is able to savour the BO status of the movie with unmixed joy after the release. Read on.

At the outset, the film has opened to mixed response. To quote the producer himself, while 30% of the audience say that OMF is a hit, 40% say it is a super hit and the rest say that they could not connect with the film. Why? It is felt that projecting Sid and Shruthi Hassan as the lead pair of the film is at the root of the problem.

The audience were not prepared to see the so-assumed lead pair as platonic friends. Some sections even found it unpalatable that there were not romantic partners.

Be that as it may, Raju was baffled when none of his friends in the industry who watched the premier show before the release told him the film will be a hit. Everybody congratulated him on making a great film though.

Positively speaking, OMF is doing good business across the State. Especially in A class centers, the film is said to be running to packed houses.
