Dilruba Movie Review

Dilruba is one of the interesting films in theatres this week. After Ka, the actor pinned many hopes on this new film. Starring Kiran Abbavaram and Rukshar Dhillon, the film is in theatres from today. Check out the review of the movie here.

Story:

Siddharth Reddy aka Siddhu (Kiran Abbavaram) becomes very depressed after breaking up with his first love Meghana - Maggie (Kathy Davison). He is also very particular about the two words in his life - thank you and sorry. Later, he falls in love with Anjali (Rukshar Dhillon). How did their love story continue from there? What kind of complications arose between them? Why did the Joker (John Vijay) come among all these? What will Meghana do to bring Anjali and Siddhu together finally? The answers to the questions form the story of the film.

Analysis:

It must be said that Kiran Abbavaram's stylish look in this movie was better than in his previous movies. His performance in some scenes is decent. His chemistry with Ruksh is also good in some scenes. Also, young actress Rukshar did a good job as a mischievous girl. Along with them, John Vijay, who played a negative role, also displayed his trademark villainy. Satya is decent in the comic scenes. The rest of the cast made their presence felt.

The film more of a YouTube short film and less of a big-screen movie. There are no elements in this film that will actually connect with the audience. The story, which has many dull moments, continues without exciting the audience anywhere. But the audience still feels like something is missing in the movie. The main theme of the movie doesn't seem to resonate with the audience much.

The production values of the film are good. Some aspects need to be improved, mainly VFX. Sam CS's work on the technical team is regular except for one or two songs. It didn't seem to be on his mark. Vishwas Daniel's cinematography is good. Praveen KL's editing needs to be improved.

Verdict:

Overall, Kiran Abbavaram does not entertain with the film Dilruba. Rukshar also did well with him. However, the story in the film does not reach the main point. The story, which is mainly filled with dull moments, does not connect with the audience. It would have been better if the director had planned better emotions. With these, it does not connect much with anyone except those who like love/breakup movies. In the end, the film is a big disappointment.

Rating: 2.25 / 5.0
