One of Tamil cinema's regular hit making music composer D.Imman has hit the magical number of 100 films with the upcoming Jayam Ravi starrer 'Tik Tik Tik' produced by Hitesh Jhabak and directed by Shakti Soudar Rajan.  He had called for a thanksgiving press meet in which he emotionally recalled with thanks every person who had contributed to his success in Tamil cinema.

According to D.Imman before making his big screen debut he had composed for 75 teleserials and provided background scores for 5000 episodes.  He also jokingly added that he has composed jingles for every shop and store in T.Nagar Ranganathan street, Chennai.  He got his first salary of Rs.500/- from Harris Jayaraj's father Jayakumar whom he thanked in the meet while also calling the late producer G.V. a pure soul who paid him Rs,10000/- for singing "Maatu Maatu" song in 'Thamizhan' apart from signing him as the composer for the film.

Imman expressed special thanks to singer Shreya Ghosal who he called his sister and said would fly down any time he has a song for her however busy her schedule is.  It was truly emotional when the 'Myna' man spelt out each name of the 100 technicians who work with him regularly when creating each of his songs.  Imman finished off by stating that his ambition is to create 100 immortal songs in Tamil cinema.
