The upcoming edition of IPL is all set to begin in Chennai on Saturday, March 23, with defending champions Chennai Super Kings taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chepauk Stadium.

During a Facebook live from KKR’s page, their team member Dinesh Karthik unveiled the new purple and gold jersey of the franchise. He was seen saying in the video, “Hi guys, this is every KKR fan’s (including mine) biggest treasure, the jersey. Like every year, it has a different style, different look, and a different feel to it. I really like the way the two-tone jersey works. It makes a massive difference to the way we are, the purple and gold all the way. I’m hoping everybody who is coming to the ground is wearing this and cheering for us. Looking forward to seeing you all this season.”

The 33-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman has urged the fans to purchase the jersey at the official website of the franchise, requesting them not to buy the fake ones. The Kolkata Knight Riders will play their first match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at their home ground in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on March 24.
