Breaking ! Vetrimaaran's 'Visaranai' goes to Oscars

After fifteen long years since Kamal Haasan`s Hey Ram`, director Vetrimaaran`s path breaking film Visaranai` has been chosen to compete for the Oscars in the Best Foriegn Language Film category.

The films that were in contention for the prestigious entry were Neerja`, Thithi`, Udta Punjab`, Nil Battey Sannata` and Sairat`. It is a wonderful moment for Tamil cinema and congratulations are due to Vetrimaaran, Dhanush, Dinesh, GVP,Aadukalam Murugadoss, Kishore, Samuthirakani, writer Chandrakumar and the late editor Kishore T.E.
