Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut had acted in the movie Queen in 2014, and this movie directed by Vikas Bahl became a superhit and also won Kangana Ranaut the national award for best actress.

Queen was remade in all 4 south Indian languages - Paris Paris in Tamil starring Kajal Aggarwal, That is Mahalakshmi in Telugu starring Tamannaah, Zam Zam in Malayalam starring Manjima Mohan and Butterfly starring Parul Yadav in Kannada.

While the shooting of these movies were completed before an year, their release had been getting delayed due to censor issues. The latest news making the rounds is that these movies will opt for a direct OTT release and that talks are in progress with Amazon prime. The Tamil version Paris Paris is directed by Ramesh Arvind and also has Tamannaah in a cameo.
