Director Vijay hit the headlines when he got the chance to direct Thala Ajith in 'Kreedam' which was only his second film after his debut. He has then gone of to direct memorable films with top heroes namely 'Madrasapattinam' starring Arya, ''Deivathirumagal' and 'Thandavam' starring Vikram and Thalaivaa' that had Thalapathy Vijay in the lead.

Vijay got married to Dr. Aishwarya in 2019 and the couple became proud parents of a son Dhruvaa in 2020. On Sunday Dhruvaa's first birthday celebrations were held and the pics have been shared on social media. The hero of the day is seen dressed in traditional wear and enjoying all the attention and the sumptuous cake too. Fans have also expressed their wishes to the Lil one.

Vijay's upcoming movie is 'Thalaivi' the pan-Indian biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister the late Jayalalitha with Kangana Ranaut in the title role. The film has Arvind Swamy, Samuthirakani, and others in the cast and is expected to release in several Indian languages sometime in the coming months.
