When is Bala starting his next?

Director Bala had last directed the movie Naachiyaar starring Jyothika and GV Prakash, and the movie which had Jyothika as a police officer was fairly successful. Following this, Bala had been signed to direct the Tamil remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy.
Supposed to be the debut movie of Dhruv Vikram, this remake titled as Varmaa had been completed and was about to release, when the producer who was not satisfied with the version, scrapped the movie and has now finished shooting a new version of the movie.
On the other end, now it has been revealed by sources that Bala is currently involved in the pre-production works of his next movie, which will star Suriya in the lead. It has been said that Suriya will begin shooting for Bala's movie from January. Suriya and Bala have worked in Nandha and Pithamagan earlier.
