Dharani opens up about 'Ghilli 2' with Vijay

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's one of the career defining successes was from 'Ghilli' that released in 2004. The film was not just a commercial blockbuster. It is one of those rare films that satisfied all age groups and sections of audiences and still gets tremendous viewership whenever gets screened in Television.
Now making sequels of old blockbusters has slightly started catching up as a trend. Vikram is going to star in the sequel of his 2003 blockbuster 'Saamy' Director Venkat Prabhu is busy with the post production of his 2007 super hit flick 'Chennai 600028' which will be hitting the screens on November 10.
So why can't we expect a sequel for 'Ghilli' at the time when its lead actor has become one of the top most stars of Kollywood.
When this question was recently posed to Dharani the master mind of 'Ghilli', he said he is very much eager to make a sequel to 'Ghilli' whenever Ilayathalapathy gives his nod.
We hope Vijay considers this option and deliver another crowd pleasing gratifying entertainer with Dharani.
