Director Jagannath turns producer

Director Jagan, who was seen most recently as an actor in ‘Mayandi Kudumbathaar’, has now become a producer too! Jagan entered Kollywood by being a director, directing Vijay’s ‘Pudhiya Geethai’, following it up with ‘Kodambakkam’ and ‘Raman Thediya Seethai’.

Following that, he turned actor and played Tarun Gopi’s brother in the much-talked about flick, ‘Mayandi Kudumbathaar’. Not stopping with that, he has signed on two more projects as an actor, including director Rasu Madhuravan’s ‘Gorippalayam’ and Nanda Periyasamy’s ‘Mathiyosi’.

Apart from this, the director has also launched his own production house, “Maruthi Movie Magic”. The first film to be produced under this banner will be the director’s ‘Roja Malli Kanakambaram’. The cast for the movie is yet to be finalized, but it is learnt that actor Nithin Sathya will play an important role in it.
