Director Mari Selvaraj is a renowned writer and highly acclaimed filmmaker. His fourth project, 'Vaazhai', went on the floors last November after he wrapped up the shooting of 'Maamannan', his upcoming film. The shooting for the movie happened in Thoothukudi.

Now, the latest update is that the director wrapped up the first leg of the 'Vaazhai' shooting. The film is also produced by Mari Selvaraj himself. It stars Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, Priyanka Nair in lead roles. The film will directly premier on a regional OTT platform as an original production.

The makers are yet to announce the release date of the film. With music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the movie has cinematography by Theni Eswar and editing by Suriya Pradhaman. On the work front, his next release, 'Maamannan', is gearing up for a grand theatrical release in Summer 2023.
