Director Rupesh Paul creates a record at Cannes Film Festival

Counting this year’s Cannes, it would be the fourth consecutive appearance for director Rupesh Paul at the prestigious festival in the French soil. This time, he would be taking five of his movies to the festival, it’s been reported.

Some of his movies at the previous festivals were ‘Saint Dracula 3D,’ ‘Janthu’ and ‘The Painter and the Virgin.’

Further, at the 67th Annual Film Festival at Cannes, there would also be a market premiere of director Rupesh Paul’s latest dream on screen, Kamasutra 3D. the movie will be screened on 14 May 2014 (14:00 hrs) at Palais G,18 May 2014 (18:00 hrs) - Olympia 6 and 19 May (18: 00 hrs) - Palais K.

Launched at last year’s Cannes, Kamasutra 3D created history, with the pre-sale of international rights, breaking records in the process. Based on the ancient epic of the same name, Kamasutra 3D is a poignant erotic tale portraying the power of sex and sexuality in changing the body, soul and mind of an individual. With the backdrop of war and betrayal. Alongside, Kamasutra 3D, director Rupesh Paul will also unveil four more movies at the Cannes. ‘The Vanishing Act: The Untold Story of the Missing Malaysian Plane,’ a fictional tale of a hijacked aircraft over the treacherous Indian ocean, ‘36 MM 3D’, a biopic on Marilyn Monroe, ‘Monologues Of An Indian Sex Maniac,’ a movie throwing a harsh light on the hypocrisies of a sexually resurgent India, and ‘Savita Barbie’ an erotic tale on the gangs of the Mumbai underworld.

Kamasutra 3D is presented by GJ Entertainment under the production house - Rupesh Paul Productions Ltd. The project is designed by Sohan Roy.
