Aditi Shankar, the daughter of Kollywood director Shankar, is all set to debut in movies opposite actor Karthi. Her entry into film was announced on Sunday. A poster in which the youngster is seen in a half-saree was out. The film is titled 'Viruman' and is directed by Muthaiya.

"So excited to have signed for this project. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to debut with. Blessed with the best," Aditi wrote, talking about her entry.

The film is produced by actor Suriya's banner. "A very warm welcome to Aditi Shankar! You are going to win everyone’s heart! God bless!! (sic)," wrote actor Suriya, taking to Twitter. In his 'Thank You' message, the '2.0' director thanked Suriya and Jyothika for launching his daughter into movies. He added that 2D Entertainments has always delivered quality movies. "I believe cinema lovers will shower her with love as she comes fully prepped to make her debut," the director added.
