This was Ajith's salary before 24 years

Actor Ajith Kumar is one of the most celebrated matinee idols of Tamil cinema and his films do a huge pre-release business and tremendous opening collections. Naturally he is one of the top paid actors in Kollywood and even by a conservative estimate, his salary for a film will not be anything less than Rs.25 crores.
But it is not a overnight development and like many other achievers in the tinsel town Ajith also started his career from the scratches. In his early days he had played a minor supporting role in director Suresh Menon's 1994 film 'Paasamalargal'.
Suresh Menon has recounted in his recent social media post that Ajith received something around Rs.2500 as his salary for a small one minute role in the film.
It is worth noting that Ajith's Tamil debut film 'Amaravathi' had released in May 1993. Ajith had played the lead role in that film.
