Disco Raja: Day 1 collections revealed

Disco Raja hit the screens yesterday, knowing well that it had to draw the audience's attention despite 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' and 'Sarileru Neekevvaru'.
The Ravi Teja-starrer, it's learned, failed to shine at the box-office on Day 1. The mish-mash mass masala sci-fi entertainer could mop up just about Rs 3 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana combined. The overseas figure is highly discouraging.
Starring Bobby Simha as the villain, the film has come in for criticism for telling a routine revenge story in the name of sci-fi entertainment. Vennela Kishore's comedy with the male lead has been lauded somewhat by the audience. Thaman's music is another plus, the audience have said. With loads of comedy, 'Disco Raja' might just have saved itself.
