Tamil actor and political aspirant Vijay has made waves with a fiery political statement targeting Tamil Nadu’s major parties ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. In his strongly worded message, Vijay accused the BJP and DMK of being covert allies, while labeling the AIADMK as an open partner of the BJP. He asserted that only his party, Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam, is truly committed to fighting for the people and preserving democracy.

In the statement, Vijay said:

“The BJP, which is ruling the Union and has lost even basic political morality, and the DMK, the fountainhead of corrupt political culture in the state, act like political enemies on the outside—but they are secret partners within. The recent political behavior and legal maneuvers prove this unholy alliance."

Vijay went on to criticize the double standards in corruption cases:

“In other states, when chief ministers are caught in corruption scandals, action is taken. But in Tamil Nadu, when action begins, a quick trip to Delhi softens the blow. The accused returns, behaving as if no corruption took place. This exposes the DMK-BJP secret understanding.”

He added that the BJP’s renewed alliance with the AIADMK is no surprise, calling it a “forced alliance already rejected by the people of Tamil Nadu multiple times.”

Vijay also predicted the narrative of the next election:

“In 2026, BJP will claim it is the only alternative to DMK, and DMK will claim to be the only opposition to BJP. But the people have awakened. They’ve realized the real faces behind the drama.”

Positioning his party as the true people’s alternative, Vijay declared:

“The real contest in 2026 will be between Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam, which is backed by the love of every household, and the DMK, which runs an anti-people government propped up by empty ads.”

He ended with a powerful message invoking leaders like Periyar, Ambedkar, Kamaraj, Anna, MGR, Velu Nachiyar, and Anjalai Ammal, stating that youth, women, and mothers are rallying behind his party for a genuine change in Tamil Nadu.

“The people are ready to throw out the deceptive drama of the DMK-BJP alliance. With the blessings of our visionary leaders and the will of the people, we will win. Let’s vote!” he concluded.
