DNR certification: Mohan Babu, Vishnu angry

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,October 23 2012]

The arbitrariness of a Censor Board member has put the release of Dhenikaina Ready in jeopardy. The force behind the trouble is none other than Ms Dhanalakshmi, the controversial member of the AP Censor Board against whom formal and informal complaints abound. The distinguished member has shocked Mohan Babu and Vishnu by her last minute decision to seek to certify an already ratified Dhenikaina Ready all over again!

As is known, DNR is set to release tomorrow (Oct 24). At this juncture, she yesterday sought to re-certify the film. Though the film was awarded U/A some days ago, it is yet to be given a formal certificate.

A disappointed and angry Vishnu understandably described Dhanalakshmi's act as nothing short of “harassment.” He said on Twitter, Ridiculous how the respected member is harassing. This is pure blackmail. I am going to fight this and will not let her stop my film.

Mohan Babu and Vishnu have decided to move the court against the Board member's decision.

The honorable member also faces some disgraceful charges. Members of the industry recently filed a formal complaint against her to Ms. Ambika Soni, the Information and Broadcasting Minister herself.
