Do you remember that water-tree scene from Bhairavadweepam?

Nandamuri Balakrishna rarely did movies that don't have him in a commercial hero suit but when he did, he tried to make them his best and mostly, they ended up being hits too. Bhairavadweepam triggered him to work with Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and the director gave him a folklore hit that was moulded on NTR's Pathalabhairavi.

After that they did a sci-fi film Aditya 369, which is regarded as a classic today and a box office failure mythological film - Sri KrishnaArjuna Vijayam.

In Bhairavadweepam, there was a scene where the hero and his brother, played by Babu Mohan encounter water-tree. Well, that scene isn't just part of folklore stories and a fantasy.

Scientifically, such trees do exist. Here is a proof for that. You can see the water coming out of the tree and people drinking it to prove, as well. This tree is called, Terminalia Tomentosa or Crocodile Bark Tree.

Singeetham Srinivasa Rao was a physics graduate before joining films and he seems to have researched very well in science to make even his fantasy movies.
