Dr Kalaburgi MM killing, Pontiff for action

Dr MM Kalburgi, former vice chancellor of Hampi University, expert on Vachana Sahitya and literary genius was shot dead at his residence in Dharwad district by two unidentified persons on 30th of August 2015.

The murderers have not been identified even after two years of killing. On Tuesday Sri Thotandarya Math Siddalinga Swamiji condemned the statement of Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah in this regard.

Nyayakkagi Echcharike Jatha` a protest rally condemning the killing of Dr Kalburgi, Dabolkar, Pansaare the pontiff has said the government instead of talking should take action in writing.

No clue related to killing of Dr MM Kulburgi shows the failure of the government. It should further strengthen the investigative teams urged the Swamiji.

Dalit Sangarsha Samithi, Ladaayi Prakashana, Lingayat progressive wing plus 38 organizations and its members, thousands of school and college students took part in the protest rally.

The protest was held till midnight at Gandhi Square on Tuesday.
