The Gnanapith award winner, connected to music, cinema and other art forms Dr Chandrasekhara Kambara heads the Kendra Sahitya Academy as President. He was elected in New Delhi with 56 votes out of 89 votes for the President post.

Dr Chandrasekhara Kambara is highly learned and directed a few Kannada films in his career of successful life so far.
Dr Chandrasekhar Kambara works in Kannada cinema traces back to 1974. He is writer, director, music director and actor too in Kannada filmdom. Kadu Kudure was his acclaimed film as director. ‘Beladingalaagi Baa’ is the last film he acted in MS Ramesh direction.
