Dr Raj Memorial low key activities

The Dr Rajakumar memorial in Kanteerava Studio spread out in 2.5 acres of land is not seeing developments according to the plan approved earlier by a committee.
The reason for this slow pace of activity is money. The government of Karnataka allotted 2.5 acres of land out of 17.5 acres of Kanteerava Studio and the main transfer of fund for this to Kanteerava Studio management – Rs.17.5 crores has not taken place. That is the hardship for Kanteerava Studio to taken development works for Dr Rajakumar Memorial. It was agreed upon at the time of land transfer to remit the land value to Kanteerava Studio administration. It is waiting since a decade. Writing of letter from management to government has gone to deaf ears. This is after Karnataka chief minister giving nod for transfer of funds to studio management. The bureaucracy is not speeding up the procedures.
On the other side President of Kanteerava Studio Meenakshi Sangram it is learnt is concentrating on modernization of the studio for better revenue instead of allotting any funds for Dr Rajakumar Memorial.
For the Dr Rajakumar Memorial thousands of people every day and arrangement for visitors is in adequate. This place should be made as a tourist spot was earlier plan of the committee.
