Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon Soars Past 25 Crore in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil coming-of-age comedy-drama Dragon hit theaters on February 21, 2025. Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by AGS Entertainment, the film stars Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, alongside Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, K. S. Ravikumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin.

According to BoxOffice Tamil, Dragon had a strong opening in Tamil Nadu, grossing ?25.10 crore in just three days. It earned ?5.70 crore on Day 1, ?8.90 crore on Day 2, and surged to ?10.50 crore on Day 3. The film’s approximate share is estimated at ?12 crore, and advance bookings for Monday indicate a successful run.

Dragon Plot

The story follows Ragavan, a bright student who turns rebellious after a heartbreak and adopts the identity of Dragon. His deceptive ways bring him success and a lavish lifestyle, but his past soon catches up with him, forcing him to confront his mistakes and seek redemption.

The film boasts a talented cast, including KS Ravi Kumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin, with additional performances from VJ Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Mariam George, and Indhumathy Manigandan. Written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, it is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh.

The film’s music is composed by Leon James, with Niketh Bommi handling cinematography and Pradeep E Ragav overseeing editing. The action sequences were choreographed by Vicky and Dilip Subbarayan, while JD directed the dance choreography.
