The movie 'Dragon' has surpassed the total box office collection of 'Vidamuyarchi' and set a new record globally.

In 2025, 'Vidamuyarchi' was the highest-grossing film worldwide among Tamil films. Since it starred Ajith, the movie had a strong opening in the first three days. Additionally, it performed well in Singapore. However, industry experts felt that the film did not meet revenue expectations when compared to its budget.

Now, 'Dragon' has overtaken 'Vidamuyarchi' in total earnings, becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025. This has brought great excitement to the film's team. Made on a budget of ₹37 crore, the movie has generated significant profits for AGS Entertainment.

Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, 'Dragon' features Pradeep Ranganathan, Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, and Gautham Menon in key roles. Leon James composed the music for the film. Released on February 21, the film continues to perform well at the box office.
