While raiding the Versova residence of Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) allegedly found 2 bottles of cannabis (CBD) oil and 1.8 grams of charas.

Karishma, who was untraceable yesterday, was later summoned for interrogation scheduled for today. A senior official, who is part of the probe team, has now reportedly mentioned that Karishma did not appear before the NCB team. "Prakash's name cropped up during the questioning of one of the paddlers arrested by us in the case in which we are looking to bust drug networks around Bollywood, Based on the information, we raided her residence today. We found 1.7 grams of charas and at least two bottles of CBD oil," an NCB official said, as quoted in a report by a news agency. The anti-drugs agency had summoned Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor earlier this month for interrogation regarding the drug angle in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case. Mobile conversations involving drugs came under the NCB's scrutiny and while the initials of the individuals 'D' and 'K' were revealed initially, the people were then identified as Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash, who is employed at the Kwan Talent Management Agency.

Karishma Prakash has been booked by the Narcotics Control Bureau under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. An update on the case is expected soon.
