Dubbaka defeat won't bog us down: KTR

The Dubbaka by-poll results have come as a shock for the TRS. The BJP has won by a slender margin.
IT Minister and TRS working president KT Rama Rao has said that the defeat can't bog down the party. Thanking the voters who chose the TRS, he said that the result was definitely not on the expected lines.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has announced the final tally of the parties. As per the latest numbers, the saffron party has won with a majority of 1,079 votes. This includes the four EVMs which threw up technical glitches and so, their VVPATs had to be counted.
BJP bagged 63,352 votes, while TRS won 62,273 votes. The Congress party pocketed 22,196 votes.
