If there is one Exit Poll that most avid political watchers are waiting for, it has to be of My Axis.  This polling agency has a history of getting 95 percent of elections right.

However, many in the country have been shocked by a dummy exit poll screenshot doing the rounds.  Rumour-mongers are claiming that it pertains to My Axis survey.  The problem began when the TV channel that has tied up with My Axis released a promo video of the Exit Poll episode due to be aired on May 19 evening using dummy data.  The channel took an example in the promo.  The example shows NDA getting 177 seats, while UPA has 144 seats.  The others have got 224 seats.  This has created panic among many BJP supporters.

The channel later stated that the promo did not have data.  "For those asking why dummy data shows NDA at XXX, dummy data stream is constantly getting updated. It swings from one side to the other. This is done to check if heavy coding is working properly or not. You can’t test accuracy of algorithms if data shows 000," Rahul Kanwal, its senior journalist, today explained.
