Tremors felt near Chennai!

News has been spreading like wildfire that tremors were felt near Chennai in Bay of Bengal. This earthquake has been measured to be 4.9 in the Richter scale, and geographical experts have reported that the earthquake has happened at a distance of 600 kms from Chennai at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The earthquake occurred at 7 am today, and many have reported that tremors were felt in various parts of Chennai, and however as of now there are no calamities or damages reported in the city. Besides, since the earthquake has happened below the sea, and as Tsunami alert has not been issued, people need not panic, say reports.
