Those super natural thrillers that seem much closer to reality, those that do not boast off gory images, or horrid screeches create a better impact among audience and we end up sitting with our eyes glued to the screen, with a chilling sensation down our spines.

'Eeram' was one such film by director Arivazhagan, which we saw a couple of years back. The film which marked his directorial debut starred Aadhi, Sindhu Menon and Saranya Mohan in the lead roles with Nandha playing the baddie.

Recently this film was dubbed and released in Telugu as 'Vaishali' and the success is such that the producer has decided to increase the prints and the number of film screenings throughout Andhra Pradesh in the very first week of its release!

The film highlights on how suspicion sets in among a young couple when they start digging into each others' past. Nandha as an egoistic and insecure husband who doesn't believe in compromises had won many accolades in here, whether the same will repeat in Telugu, we'll have to wait to know.

The storyline is universal and sources in the know credit this success in AP to the dubbing as well, and feel that this has helped in making the film reach to our Telugu folks in an apt manner.
