As we said Ek Villain will be a hero' at the box office but to such thunderous applause.. unprecedented!!. Taking the Indian box by storm on day one Balaji's Ek Villain' directed by Mohit Suri, recorded a Historic 16.72 crores on 2539 screens.

Registering itself as the second highest opener of the year in absolute terms after Salman Khan's Jai Ho'. In terms of screen average, it is the highest opening of the year.
