Elderly woman attacked night before husband's funeral

An 82-year-old woman was attacked at her home in Arizona and, fearing another attack, laid in a pool of blood for nearly three hours to play dead. The incident happened on the night before the funeral of the victim's husband.
Jesse Leetham, the woman's grandchild, posted about this attack, which happened after he had just left home, on Facebook, hoping someone would venture more information. The victim can only recollect the attacked wearing a ski mask and being stocky. The family is reeling because of this incident and is saddened because a helpless old woman should have been attacked.
