The 70th edition of the world-famous Emmy Awards was held at Los Angeles yesterday in the Microsoft Theatre. Not only the event was a grand success, but a director shocked one and all by proposing to his girlfriend on stage. The man who was bold and dramatic enough was Glenn Weiss who had got an award for a variety special for ‘The Oscars’. 

During his live acceptance speech, he proposed to his fiancee Jan Svendson. “You wonder why I don't like to call you my girlfriend because I want to call you my wife,” he said. After that he also went on one knee to ask the most adored four letter question ‘Will you marry me?’ to which of course Sevendson uttered an exhilarating ‘yes!’
