Empuraan: Mammootty to team up with Mohanlal and Prithviraj

Any updates or photos regarding Mohanlal-Prithviraj combo's upcoming movie 'Empuraan' are received warmly on social media. After a new picture of the movie's writer Murali Gopy with Megastar Mammootty recently surfaced online, it looks like the excitement has hit the ceiling and sparked new speculations.
The screen-writer recently shared the selfie with Mammootty and he captioned, Three quality hours spent with the super thespian. And honoured with a click, by the legend himself.
Soon, rumours started doing the round that Mammootty is also onboard in 'Empuraan'.
It was recently, the movie's director-actor Prithviraj who revealed an important update of the sequel. Sharing a picture with Murali Gopy, the writer of the movie, Prithviraj wrote, “Probably the day I first 'saw' #EMPURAAN. When your writer’s design starts forming an edited, colour corrected shape in your mind! I cannot wait to get this started..as much as a fan..as a filmmaker!” (sic.)
With the sequel, Mohanlal is returning as Stephen Nedumbally. Apart from directing the film, Prithviraj is said to be reprising his role of Zayed Masood in the upcoming movie too. The movie which was supposed to go on floors this year has been postponed to 2021 owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
