Item number Tejashree for the first time plays the heroine in En Kannil Ean Vizhunthai. Newcomer Shaan is paired opposite her . A love story the film is about Chandru and his love for Priya. She does not respond. She also does not give any reasons. In order to provethat his love for her is true , Chandu decides to commit suicide in front of Priya. So he climbs up a 100 feet tree and shouts her name. Priya feels dizzy when she looks up and Chandru frightened by seeing the entire forest below him slips and falls. Will Chandru survive ? How does Priya react to the situation is the suspense in the film. According to director Indran, "This is the first movie to be shot in the suicide point . With great difficulty we got permission to shoot in suicide point in Ooty. Art director Mathimohan erected a 100 feet ramp with artificial trees to look like a forest at the cost of Rs. 8 lakh at the suicide point". Indran further adds " The natural beauty usually found in foreign locales such as Switzerland were found in the surrounding forest areas of Kotagiri".

Indran had directed the Karthik and wife Ragini starrer "Solai Kuyil" The latest project is Imalaya International "Malaisaral" Ravi's "En Kannil aen Vizhunthai." Apart from new face Shaan and Tejashri the film has Sumesh . With films like "Malai Saral," "Kadhele Nimmathi" in his kitty, Indran has ventured to shoot this love story..

Says Indran; " The reason for her rejection of the hero's love is a new one in tamil cinema. This is shot very interestingly."

They have shot lots of scenes in some sensitive but breath taking locations at Colombo. In fact they ran into few problems with the security guards manning those areas. The songs "Kanni Ponnu Kannu Romba Dangerous" and "Neeye Nijam" were also shot here.

Tejashri after her stint with Vijay in "Madurey" is looking forward for the movie. "We worked hard while shooting especially in Ooty. We escaped from falling into a ravine as the jeep we were returning lost control after one of its wheels disengaged," she said.

Apart from the lead cast Sumesh, Hema Baskar, Rupen Raj, Delhi Ganesh, Kovai Sarala, Manjari among others are cast in the film. John Peter has scored the music. Nirmal Raja cranks the camera.
