Priyadarshi being the major in-demand comedian, will get more audiences to watch this series but the story doesn't just belong to him. And that is the beauty of this series. This series is a major sports drama that talks about the politics behind sports scene in India. Why does India lack in talent to win gold medals or produce players who can shine at International level, consistently? The answers might lie in the way our lives are lead by us and how people in power determine, they should be lead.
If you call someone helping you out to find a good sponsor for improving your talent as your God, then what about a government based establishment doing it on consistent basis? Don't we call them Gods too? This is the point behind Abhilash Reddy's web series, Loser, one can say.
No person wants to be a Loser and end their life of promises and potentials with disappointment. But what forces a person to look out for alternatives? What forces a person to be called a Loser? If you know answers and eliminate the issues, the change is in front of you. Are you willing to take such steps?
Abhilash and his team of graduates from film school understand the importance of sticking to the story and they narrate three stories at a time that too from different timelines. They keep the struggle of the main characters as their focus and never lose the sight. The music, performances from Priyadarshi, Annie, Kalpika, Shiyaji Shinde and Shashank keep us hooked.
Pacing is slightly an issue with duration of each episode being close to 40 minutes. But once you're invested in the story which does take two episodes time, you will try to binge watch and finish it at a go. A welcome change from regular dramas and good attempt from Abhilash, his team & Annapurna Studios.
Our Recommendation: Good Fun. Watch it.
