Farhan Akhtar an inspiration to youth: Milka Singh

  • IndiaGlitz, [Friday,May 03 2013]

Right since the time ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ went on floors, Milkha Singh was very high on praise on Farhan Akhtar. His dedication and will power has been commendable and Milkha personally had been underlining this trait of Farhan all throughout.

Acknowledging the fact that Farhan has invested a lot of time and hard work in the film Milkha Singh believes that the actor stands of excellence through and through. From lanky to sport and muscular; Farhan had gone out of the way to look perfect in the movie by going through high standard of professional athlete training and crash diets.

The legendary ‘Flying Singh’ (as Milkha Singh fondly called) has candidly mentioned umpteenth no of times that people in India need to be motivated. The country does not lack infrastructure or coach or tracks - they lack drive. He thinks that each individual should push themselves to achieve their goals and one needs to have faith in themselves. And Milkha strongly feels the youth should draw inspiration from Farhan.

In India, films inspire a lot of people and he is hoping Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra's film manages to inspire the young generation. A lot of sports movie have left a positive mark for the audience, he wishes ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ can be one of them.
