Farhan & Ritesh: From College Fukras to Production Colleagues

  • IndiaGlitz, [Monday,April 22 2013]

After generating enough curiosity over their forthcoming film ‘Fukrey’, the producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani revealed the trailer of the film recently amidst the presence of college students in the canteen of popular city based college.

Interestingly, even though Farhan and Ritesh are from HR College, the trailer launch of ‘Fukrey’ happened in Jaihind College. When asked about this, the makers candidly accepted that HR was ideally their first choice. Keeping this in mind, both the ex-HR students Ritesh and Farhan were very keen to have the trailer launch at their own college campus. However sadly they did not get the required permissions.

In fact the duo met and became friends at HR College. Admitting that they were fukras themselves, they added that they were usually hanging out at the cafeteria.

Starring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadda, ‘Fukrey’ is a film about these 4 Fukras (wella/ jobless) who aspire to enter college and day dream about how it would be.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the film is set in Delhi and slated to release on 14th June.
