Minister reacts to Kamal Haasan's corruption allegations

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is the celebrity who has not minced words in reacting to the sudden overnight double taxation on movie tickets which has led theaters for the first time in history to shutdown for four consecutive days. He had implied that “Bihar used to be the nation's whipping boy when it came to corruption. Now, Tamil Nadu has left Bihar leagues behind. Film industry is one among the many industries asphyxiated by the prevailing systemic corruption in the state. I anticipate even stronger protests soon,”
Reacting to Kamal Haasan's allegations the TN Finance Minister, D. Jayakumar has stated that the star's allegations are baseless and if at all he can pinpoint in which department is corrupt the government will take immediate action. He assured that transparent governance is in force in Tamil Nadu.
