From Kisser to Cricketer: Emraan Hashmi

  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,December 28 2013]

If sources are to be believed, then one can soon see B-Town’s Serial Kisser turning into cricketer for big screen.

Grapevines have it that Emran Hashmi will essay the role of former crickter Mohammad Azharuddin, in a biopic film to be directed by Kunal Deshmukh. Given the fact that Azharuddin had a very colourful life both on field and in personal life, his story seems to be a perfect subject to be made into a movie. While he earned a good share of controversy due to match-fixing scandal, Azharuddin grabbed limelight for getting married second time to Bollywood actress, Sangeeta Bijalani

Incidentally, Kunal and Emraan had earlier worked together in ‘Jannat’ series (which revolved around cricket and bookie) and ‘Tum Mile’. Initially Ajay Devgn was considered for the lead role of this cricket movie.

Talks are that Emraan is learning the ropes of cricket and working on bringing up a particular look for the movie.
