Pawan Kalyan will shoot for Gabbar Singh in Hyderabad from the second day of the New Year. It is known that Harish Shankar (director) had shot an important schedule in Pollachi for weeks. The new schedule to be held in the capital city will see him picturing crucial scenes on the Power Star and a host of other characters in the movie.

Shruthi Hassan, who was recently quoted as saying that her role here gives her immense scope for performance, is paired opposite Pawan. While is cast as the hero’s half-brother, Abhimanyu Singh of Raktha Charitra fame is donning an important role in this film. Kota Srinivasa Rao and Tanikella Bharani are playing serious roles, while Brahmanandam and Ali are learnt to be playing never-seen-before comedy roles. Rao Ramesh has been drafted to play another interesting role.

Devi Sri Prasad, who is scoring music for a Pawan film for the first time since Jalsa, has said that he is making all efforts to belt out super hit tunes. The technical team boasts of names such as Jayanan Vincent (cinematography) and Gautham Raju (Editing).

Harish Shankar’s job is even tougher, what with he is writing the dialogues as well. The Dabbang remake, which will hopefully outshine the original, is scheduled to release in April 2012.
