As soon as Pawan Kalyan completes his work for Vishnuvardhan's film, he will set forth to work for Gabbar Singh. He will shoot regularly for the film from October 10.

Produced by Bandla Ganesh and directed by Harish Shankar, the film's script has been completely written. The director is said to be intent upon going on the floors only with a bound script. This is the reason much time was spent on story discussions. Nativising the Hindi film Dabanng, from which Gabbar Singh is being adapted, was a challenge to the writers.

Ajay's character is going to be a major highlight in the movie. He plays Pawan's brother in the movie. Shruthi Hassan gets to act opposite a superstar in Telugu.

Suhasini plays Pawan's mother. Come to think of it, Gabbar Singh has an ensemble cast, a great technical team and above all, a successful formula. Only, inevitable comparisons with the Hindi version will be a challenge though. Nevertheless, Pawan is expected to outshine Salman, given his ease at carrying roughie roles with panache.
