Delta farmers load relief lorries with tender coconuts to show gratitude

The Gaja Cyclone devastation has once again pressed youngsters and celebrities into action carrying relief to the affected areas in large numbers. The cyclone was initially thought to be severe but then it was believed that it would be a weakened one when it hits the Tamil Nadu coast. But contrary to all predictions the cyclone proved to be one of the worst in history causing the loss of more than 50 lives, thousands of livestock and crops.

The Delta farmers are proving to be as hospitable in crisis as they would be in normal conditions. The farmers have loaded back the lorries carrying relief materials with tender coconuts to be taken to the cities as a return gift for the people.
