Kamal Haasan's opinion about Rajini-Vijay donations to Gaja Cyclone relief

Kamal Haasan visited the Gaja Cyclone affected areas in the Delta region and distributed relief materials amounting in total to rupees 2 Crores. Newsmen quizzed him about Rajini and Vijay donating amounts through their fan clubs instead of contributing to the Chief Minister's relief fund.

Kamal replied that the action of his contemporaries Rajini and Vijay shows that there is lack of confidence in them that the money that they are contributing would reach the intended people or not. The Ulaganayagan mused that politicians should take care not to indulge in corruption at least in these times of crisis.
