GAMA hungama, an affair to remember

The GAMA awards ceremony held in in Dubai on Feb 12 saw the coming together of the likes of Krishnam Raju, Prabhas, DSP, Tamannah, Rana, Anup Rubens, and others. While Baahubali walked away with the Best Movie award, films like Srimanthudu, Kick2, Kumari 21F, and S/o of Sathyamurthy had their share of laurels, too.

Kirshnam Raju, who recently completed 50 years of being in the industry, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. GAMA best movie of the year award went to Baahubali.

Essentially a musical awards ceremony, it had various categories like Best Commercial Song, Best Poetic Value Song and the like, many unconventional categories.

Ramya Behara won the Best Singer (Female) for her song Theevara in Baahubali. Best Celebrity Singer went to Lakshmi Manchu for her song in Dongaata. Best Title Song went to Ramajogayya Sastry for Srimanthudu. Sirivennela Sitharamasastry won the Best Lyricist award for his song Vidwesham' in Kanche. Best song with poetic values went to Sri Mani for his song Choopulatho' in Bengal Tiger.

The trailer and audio of Yama Pasham, the Telugu version of the Tamil film Miruthan, was released yesterday in Hyderabad.  The film is slated to be released on Feb 19 in both Tamil and Telugu.  Natural Star Nani was the chief guest, who unveiled the audio.
