Director Karthik Subbaraj has spoken for the first time about the failure of the film Game Changer. The movie, directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan, was a major disappointment at the box office. Interestingly, the story of Game Changer was originally written by Karthik Subbaraj. However, director Shankar adapted it and made significant changes while developing the screenplay.
In a recent statement, Karthik Subbaraj revealed, “I initially pitched a story about a common IAS officer to director Shankar. But the theme was completely changed during development. Multiple writers were involved, and the plot and screenplay took a totally different shape.”
When the film was released, Karthik Subbaraj had posted a congratulatory message about it. Many people are now raising questions about that supportive post, considering the film’s failure and his latest comments.
