We all know that 'House of the Dragon' is the spin-off prequel series to the renowned show 'Game of Thrones'. The upcoming series traces the events of the civil war in House Targaryen that took place 200 years before the annihilation of the iron throne.

HBO's House of the Dragon starts airing on August 21 on the channel and HBO Max while the episodes will start premiering in India on August 22 through Disney Plus Hotstar. With exactly a month more for release, the final trailer of House of the Dragon has arrived last night ahead of the premiere.

The reign of power in the House Targaryen, who rule the seven kingdoms, starts to descend when a civil war breaks out which leads to the epic event 'Dance of the Dragons' and the series will feature 17 dragons. The trailer opens with King Viserys Targaryen talking about his dream that a war breaks out when he names his heir upon the Iron Throne.

While the King's first-born daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen strives to ascend the throne, everyone nominates the King's brother Daemon Targaryen for the succession as no queen has ever sat on the iron throne. We witness a powerful dialogue as the trailer hits a high note when Rhaenyra was told that a woman would not inherit the iron throne which is the order of things, she replies, "When I'm queen, I will create a new order."

The almost 3-minute-long featurette ends with a spine-chilling shot of a red dragon. While GOT was based on George RR Martin's book 'A Song of Ice and Fire', House of the Dragon is the adaptation of Martin's 2018 novel 'Fire & Blood'. The show stars Paddy Considine, Emma D'Arcy, Milly Alcock, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emily Carey, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno and Rhys Ifans in the main roles.
