Next to elections, we have two main conversation topics this summer. IPL and Game of Thrones. Never have been the entire world been so hyped up as the final season of GoT is set to put fans in a dramatic frenzy over the next few weeks. But some of you may be outsiders who don’t know/ doesn’t care about what’s happening in the land of Winterfell. For those peeps out there we have five tips to keep you away from the wrath of a GoT fan. Ready? Here we go.

Hey, here’s a spoiler!

You can find most of the GoT fans become more of a recluse during the season’s premiere. Most fans are known to cover themselves under a blanket and never step out of the home. All this to avoid goddamn spoilers from somebody stupid enough to blurt it out. And if you happen to be the evil one giving out the spoiler, get set for wrath.

It’s all about sex!

You sickos out there who don’t watch GoT and just think we’re in it for the skin show, you’re gravely mistaken. Of course, the series has some explicit content that may affect sanskari viewers but no, we’re in it for the story, the fantasy, the drama. Never ever say to a fan that it’s about the sex. Just don’t do it, please.

Too much of ‘bastards’!

Like the sex part, a lot of foul words are thrown around in the series. This may have caused desensitization to fans in conservative nations. For instance, ‘bastard’ for GoT fans just means a child born illegitimately. It’s a perfectly fine word that could be used without hesitation. Just get over with it.

The series is too slow…

Did we ask for your opinion? I mean seriously. What trouble do you see when global fans sit and watch the show without an iota of a problem appreciating the masterpiece it is? We don’t even care. Actually, we’d not complain if it were any slower as well.

What if GoT had an Indian version?

Why do we always have to make every damn thing Indian? Is it really necessary? Enough of comparing Alia Bhatt with the Mother of Dragons already. It just won’t and can’t happen. No searching for the shortest actor who can be the Indian version of Tyrian Lannister as well. Leave the show just as it is. Some things cannot be just remade or even re-imagined.

There are many other good shows out there…

Yes, we know that there are a plenty other gripping shows out there. And no, Game of Thrones is not overrated. More than a show it has become a part of the pop culture, a part of our everyday conversations. And with valid reason. So you can’t call it overrated.

Guess we’ve covered most of the pointers. If you have some extra tips to save peeps from GoT fans, you can comment them below. We’re all ears!
