'Gang Leader' does much like 'Jersey' on Day 1

Gang Leader does much like Jersey on Day 1

If 'Jersey' collected a share of Rs 4.60 Cr on its Day in the Telugu States, 'Gang Leader' has done Rs 20 lakh less. This is still respectable relative to 'Jersey', which was a Summer release.

Nizam has given Rs 1.75 Cr, while Uttarandhra and Guntur, between them, gave Rs 1.07 Cr.

In the US, its gross stands at USD 317,000 for premiers plus Day 1. This is underwhelming, given that the revenge crime comedy needs a gross of USD 1.6 million to achieve break-even.

Starring Nani in the role of a copycat novelist, 'Gang Leader' has been directed by Vikram K Kumar. Lack of a semblance of believability is one of the biggest demerits of the film.
