Isai Gnani Ilayaraja is one of the greatest music composers of all time in Indian cinema. Gangai Amaran, brother of Ilayaraja, is a renowned music director, playback singer, lyricist, screenwriter and director in Tamil cinema. Now, the celebrity brothers have reunited after years of separation and the meetup pictures are going viral.

It is said that the musician Ilayaraja and his three brothers came to Chennai at an early age in search of opportunities in the cinema industry and the brothers were united even in poverty. Ilayaraja has composed music for many films directed by Gangai Amaran including Karakattakkaran. Meanwhile, news broke that Ilayaraja and his brother Gangai Amaran had not spoken in recent years.

Currently, photos from Ilayaraja and Gangai Amaran's meetup are going viral on social media. It is being reported that the brothers have met with each other after 13 years. In an interaction with Vikatan, Gangai Amaran opened up, "They said on the phone that my elder brother was calling. I have been waiting for that for so long. I immediately went and met him. I was talking with him for an hour and a half. He was talking nicely without any fights. We will be happy together from now on. It is a great tragedy not to speak with your brother for 13 years. It's not like that anymore. I'm happy now. I'm going home happily."

Gangai Amaran tweeted on his Twitter page that he has met Isai Gnani Ilayaraja and posted the images from the meeting. Sharing the photos, Gangai Amaran captioned, "Indru nadantha sandhippu .. Irai arulukku nandri .. Uravugal thodarkathai ...!!! (sic)." Many stars, including Gangai Amaran's son and film director Venkat Prabhu, have shared the photo and congratulated them. VP wrote, "Pavalar brothers reunion!! (sic)."
